Our rawhide and rope loping hackamore is a super piece of gear that I've made for top trainers and hands in just about every western venue. I like it for teaching a horse to collect, round their back and really drive from the hocks or use it on an older horse that just needs a break from the bit. The hand braided, natural rawhide nose over medium stiff 3-strand rope has two 3/4" knots that lay on each side of the bridge of the nose. This is as passive or aggressive as you make it but will sure keep a horse's attention while staying out of the mouth. Includes a 1/2" diameter marine cord mecate (color may vary) with latigo poppers and my handmade California style latigo hanger.
